Alchemy Pottery Classes - Important Information
Learn how to throw on the potter’s wheel or handbuild unique creations! Beginners will learn to make basic forms like cylinders, bowls, and mugs on the wheel or if you’re handbuilding you’ll learn to coil build a bowl, slab build a mug, explore function, texture and color. Using colored slips and glaze, inlay, texture, and carving you will learn various ways to finish your work. Students with experience will get one-on-one instruction and help in developing their own personal projects.
Included in tuition: Hands on instruction from Amy Halko or P.J. Hargraves, clay, use of studio materials and glazes, personal shelf space, bisque and glaze firings, all of the pots you make, invite to our end of semester pick up party.
All levels are welcome in these classes including kiddos11 years and up.
Class size is limited to seven students.
** IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE :
All sales are final.
Once registered, if you request to transfer to a different class there will be a $100.00 transfer fee added to your tuition.
If you miss a class we may not be able to offer an opportunity to make up the hours.
Cancellations within one week of class commencement and/or no-shows will not receive any credit, transfer, or refund.
Students should feel comfortable lifting a 25lb bag of clay, working with their hands, and sitting at the potters wheel for extended periods of time.
